  • PROFESSOR A. OWAN ENOH
    Professor A. Owan Enoh, 27th December, 1957, hails from Agbokim Waterfalls in Etung Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He attended Government Secondary School, Ikom (1972 - 1976); School of Arts and Science, Uyo (1976 - 1978); University of Jos (1978 - 1982); (1983 - 1985); (1989 - 1993) for his Bachelors in Education Degree, Master and Doctorate in Philosophy of Education.

    Between 1984 and 1991 he lectured at Federal College of Education (Tech.) Gombe, and from 1991 – 2005, taught at University of Jos, where he began as Assistant Lecturer. By 2002 he was appointed Associate Professor in the same University and in 2005 Professor by Cross River University of Technology, Calabar.

    Professor A. Owan Enoh has to his credit extensive publications with textbooks which are widely circulated in the country. In 1996, he was a recipient of a huge grant by the defunct Nigerian Education Bank for the publication and launching of a textbook, Main Currents in Nigerian Educational
    Thought, a seminal work which examined the educational philosophies of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Tai Solarin, Professor Babs Fafunwa, Professor B. O. Ukeje and Professor Jibril Aminu.

    An external examiner to University of Ibadan, Ibadan; University of Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti; Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri. Professor Owan Enoh is also President of Philosophy of Education Association of Nigeria and a member of International Network of Philosophy of Education (INPE); Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain (PESGB) and Philosophy of Education Society of Australia (PESA). The Neglect of Philosophy of Education and the Spread of Nigeria’s Educational Wasteland is the title of his July, 2013 Inaugural Lecture.

    In 2008, he was appointed Provost of Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa and serves as Executive Director of Educational Standard Revival Initiative (EDUSTAR), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Calabar, Cross River State, which has 250 partnership Primary Schools it is focusing on improving standards.

    Presently he is Vice Chancellor, Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), Calabar and married to Bevlyn Egajor Owan Enoh. 
  • RegistrarMR. GABIEL AGIM BESHEL
    Mr. Gabriel Agim Beshel was born on August 29, 1954, in Obudu, Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State. He attended Panjab University, Chandigarh India, where he obtained his B.A (Hons.) in Public Administration in 1984, MPA from the University of Calabar in 1999 and PGD in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos in 2000.

    Mr. Beshel was employed in the Cross River State Post Primary School Management Board in 1979 and rose to the rank of Vice Principal. Thereafter, he joined the service of the former Polytechnic, Calabar, where he served in many capacities including his appointment as the Public Relations Officer, a position he held until the advent of Cross River University of Technology, from the former Polytechnic, Calabar in 2002.

    In 2009, Mr. Beshel was appointed the University’s Public Relations Officer alongside other responsibilities. Arising from his commitment and devotion to duty, he has enjoyed steady promotions to his current rank of Deputy Registrar. As a seasonal Administrator and Public Relations Practitioner, he has served as Chairman Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Cross River State Chapter. He was one time State Coordinator, Special Marshal FRSC, and also President Calabar City Joggers Club. A member of many Professional bodies, Mr. Beshel has travelled widely, and has also attended many seminars, conferences and workshops both home and abroad.

    Mr. Gabriel Agim Beshel who currently is the Registrar of Cross River University of Technology is happily married with children; his hobbies include jogging, music, cooking and travelling. 
  • MR. VINCENT ADU
    ADU, VINCENT ADAKA was born in Akarefor-Ekureku, Abi Local Government Area, Cross River State. He attended Primary School Ekureku, Agbo Comprehensive Secondary School, Ebgoronyi, University of Cross River State now University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and University of Calabar.

    He is a graduate of Accounting from University of Cross River State and also holds a Masters Degree in Accounting from University of Calabar and currently on Ph.D Programme in Accounting in the Department of Accounting, University of Calabar.

    Adu, Vincent Adaka is a member of the following Professional Bodies:

    -          Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)

    -          Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) (NIM)

    -          Institute of Entrepreneurs (Nigeria)

    He has worked with several reputable Organization such as:

    -          Federal Inland Revenue Service, Abuja

    -          Bioden Fakeye & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Lagos; and

    -          Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture Obubra

    He is happily married with children.

    Mr. Adu, Vicent Adaka was bestowed with a leadership Distinction Award by Nigerian Organization for Youth Advancement (NOYA) South-South Zone, Nigeria and Award of Honour by Abi Local Government Area Students Association Worldwide (ALGASAWW) in recognition of his selfless service to humanity and outstanding contribution towards community development; youth empowerment and students’ activities.

     

  • PROFESSOR LOUIS ETIM ATTAH

    Professor Louis Etim Attah, born on 8th December 1953, is from Duke Town, Calabar, in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.   He attended Duke Town Primary and Secondary Schools in Calabar; North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Greensboro, North Carolina, USA where he obtained both a BSc Degree (Professional Chemistry, 1977) and MSc Degree(Analytical Chemistry, 1980) and the University of Calabar, where he obtained a PhD degree (Pure and Applied Chemistry, 2002).

    Professor Louis Etim Attah started his professional career as a Chemist with Celanese Polymers and Specialties Company, Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 1977.  In 1980, he was employed as Instructor in Chemistry Department, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  In 1982 he joined the services of Dow Chemical Company, Midland, Michigan, USA as a Research/Analytical Chemist. 

    On return to Nigeria, he was employed by the Polytechnic Calabar as a Lecturer I in 1985 and rose to the rank of Principal Lecturer in 1998. In 2002, he was appointed Senior Lecturer by Cross River University of Technology and was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor (2011) and Professor (2014).  Professor Louis Etim Attah also served as a volunteer technical expert in the Federal Government of Nigeria, Technical Aid Corps (TAC) program in Ethiopia from 2006 – 2008, where he was instrumental in the development of post graduate Studies, in Analytical Chemistry at Ambo University, Ethiopia.  He also served as a Chemical consultant with Intercom Oxfam, Ethiopia in 2008.

    Professor Louis Etim Attah is a Chartered/Industrial Analytical Chemist with a strong background in the operation and maintenance of state of the art Chemical Instrumentations viz.  Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC – MS), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy and Ultra Violet – visible (UV – VIS) Spectrometry.  He has extensive publications in both local and international journals and also has co-authored and edited Chemistry textbooks which are currently in public use.

    Professor Louis Etim Attah has served in several leadership positions as President and Chairman of both professional, academic and community associations such as President – Nigerian Student Union in the Americas (NSUA, Greensboro, Chapter),  Rivers State Corpers Association (Nigeria), Calabar Doyen Lions Club (Nigeria), andSenior Staff Association (The Polytechnic, Calabar); Chairman – Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Nigeria Environmental Society (NES), Cross River State Chapter), and Chemical Society of Nigeria, (CSN Calabar Branch).  Professor Attah is also a member of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia (CSE), and the Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria (ICCON).

    Professor Attah has served in various administrative positions both in the Polytechnic, Calabar and Cross River University of Technology as Head of Department, Dean of Faculty, and member of the Governing Council of both Institutions. He is also a strong community leader.

    He is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Cross River University of Technology and married to Elizabeth Etim Attah. 

     

  • PROFESSOR EMMANUEL UNIMKE INGWU

    Professor Emmanuel Eunimke Ingwu, born 7th November, 1958, hails from Ohong Village in Obudu LGA Cross River State, Nigeria. He attended Government Secondary School, Obudu (1972-1976); St. Thomas Teachers’ Training College, Ogoja (1978-1979); University of Nigeria Nsukka (1981-1985). He went to the University of Ibadan for his Master of Education (1986-1987) and Doctorate Degree (2000-2004) in Industrial Education.

    He taught in the Primary School, Ohong between 1976-1978, and 1979-1981. Between 1988-1990, he taught in St. Thomas’ Teachers Training College, Ogoja; between 1990 and 2002, he was a lecturer in the Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa, where he served as Acting Dean, School of Education from 1996 to 1999.

    He was appointed Senior Lecturer in the Cross River University of Technology in 2002. He was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, in 2010, and appointed full Professor of Adult and Industrial Education in 2004, by the same University. He has served the University in various capacities, as Acting Head, Department of Educational Foundations and Administrations 2003 – 2004 and 2005 – 2007; and Dean, Faculty of Education, 2016 – 2017.

    He was an external examiner, teaching practice programme to the Fedreal College of Education, Obudu between 2006 – 2017. He is adjunct Professor, (Industrial and Labour Studies Unit), Department of Continuing Education and Development Studies, University of Calabar from 2016 to date.

    Professor Emmanuel Unimke Ingwu has to his credit extensive publications in reputable National and International Journals in the area of Adult Education and Industrial relations. He is member of Professional associations, namely; Nigerian National Council for Adult Education, Nigeria Society of Educational Psychologists, Association of Nigerian Teachers.

     Presently, he is serving as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic Cross River University of Technology Calabar from 2017 to date. He is married to Mrs. Gladys Eneyi Ingwu.
